FIELD TARGET COURSES

AirGunOregon leases land for three different Field Target and Benchrest airgun events. We base out of our Oak Haven Ranch and B&B, where we have the Ashland Air Rifle Range, which offers a rifle and pistol course of varying difficulty: with lanes with basic targets for beginner practice to an advanced 50-target course that will challenge even the highest skilled competitors training for WFTF World Championship events. We also lease land on the Corp Ranch near Emigrant Lake where we have the 26 lane, 52 target, Oak Alley Field Target course. AirGunOregon also host Extreme BenchRest (EBR) and Speed Silhouette airgun matches at the Ashland Gun & Archery club.

OAK CREEK RIFLE CHALLENGE

COURSE LENGTH: 2HRS, 1/4 MILE LEVEL TO MODERATE UPHILL WALKING

ELEVATION: 2240′- 2260′

DIFFICULTY: MODERATE

This course is 25 lanes set alongside a creek in the shade of oaks.  The rifle course has 50 targets set in up and downhill positions at 10 to 55 yards. Every shooter’s box enjoys the shade of an Oak tree and a level shooting platform, as well as the 15 degree reduction in temps on any given summer day that happens along this creek venue.  There are very few ways more pleasant than shooting along the cool creek on a hot summer day.

AirGunOregon also hosts AAFTA Grand Prix events and the Oregon State Field Target Championships at the Oak Alley course on the Corp Ranch in Ashland, Or.  This is also a Full 26 lane World class “one shot per target” course.  Half of the course at a time can be shot in “two shot per target” AAFTA style events as well.  This course is set on a hillside and every other lane is either uphill or downhill. Here you will find oaks shading shooting decks/platforms for a very stable and comfortable shooting experience.  Reading the wind on this course can be very challenging on 52 targets ranging from the standard 10 to 55 yards.

OAK CREEK PISTOL CHALLENGE

AirGunOregon also offers an AAFTA Grand Prix pistol challenge on a pleasant but challenging, 42 shot, AAFTA approved pistol course on our own Oak Haven BnB ranch, which also hosts matches for “Basic Break Barrel Rifles” with scopes of 12 power or less.  The course has targets from 10 to 35 yards with kill zones of ½” to 2”. These matches are usually held the Friday before a two day Saturday/Sunday grand prix rifle match.  The course is also used for local fun pistol and break barrel matches most Saturdays.
